Welcome to Be Still Card. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Be Still Card website at bestillcard.com (the "Site"), the Be Still Card mobile application (the "App"), and all related products and services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by AJB Media Ventures, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware corporation.
By accessing or using the Service, purchasing a Be Still Card, or downloading the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the App. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian setting up the App on a child's device, you are responsible for supervising their use of the Service.
Be Still Card is a physical NFC card and companion iPhone application designed to help users manage screen time through faith-based focus sessions. The card contains an NFC chip that, when tapped to a compatible iPhone, triggers focus modes within the App. The App uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to restrict access to selected apps during active sessions.
A physical NFC card (Standard or Metal Edition), access to the Be Still Card App with all focus modes and devotional content, and ongoing updates to the App at no additional charge. There is no subscription fee.
The Service is designed to create intentional friction around phone usage, not an unbreakable lock. Screen time management relies on Apple's built-in frameworks, which are subject to Apple's own limitations, updates, and policies. We cannot guarantee that all apps will be blocked in every scenario, that Apple will not change the functionality of Screen Time or Family Controls, or that the Service will be compatible with all future iOS versions. We are not responsible for changes to Apple's operating system or frameworks that may affect the Service's functionality.
Be Still Cards are available for purchase through the Site. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed at the time of purchase. We currently accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. Shipping times and costs, if any, are disclosed before you complete your order.
Custom-branded cards and bulk orders are available for churches and organizations. Pricing, customization options, and delivery timelines for bulk orders will be confirmed at the time of your order. Bulk orders may be subject to additional terms communicated during the ordering process.
We offer a full refund within 30 days of delivery for NFC card purchases, provided the card is in unused and undamaged condition. To request a refund, contact us at hello@bestillcard.com with your order number. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of our receiving the returned card. Shipping costs for returns are the customer's responsibility unless the card arrived defective or damaged, in which case we will provide a prepaid return label. Defective cards (cards that do not trigger the App when tapped to a compatible device) may be exchanged or refunded at any time.
To use the App, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it as needed. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@bestillcard.com.
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, without limitation: attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or the NFC card's programming; using the Service for any unlawful purpose; interfering with or disrupting the Service or its servers; attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; reselling or redistributing the App or its content without our written permission; or using automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, devotional content, Scripture compilations, audio clips, software, and the underlying code — are owned by AJB Media Ventures, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Scripture quotations are used under applicable licensing terms from their respective publishers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
The Be Still Card name, logo, and cross icon are trademarks of AJB Media Ventures, Inc. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
The App includes devotional readings, motivational quotes, and Scripture passages intended to encourage your spiritual life. This content is provided for personal, non-commercial use. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or pastoral care. Scripture quotations are drawn from publicly available translations and are presented in accordance with their respective usage guidelines.
The Service relies on and interacts with third-party platforms and services, including Apple's iOS, Screen Time, and Family Controls frameworks, NFC hardware capabilities, and third-party payment processors. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AJB MEDIA VENTURES, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AJB Media Ventures, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. The NFC card itself remains your physical property. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AJB Media Ventures, Inc. regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
